In Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley, there is a variation from most Harvest Moon games on how you upgrade your tools. Here is what you need for the upgrades. The Super Tools decrease the stamina usage of the tool. The Hyper upgrade reduces it even further. The second upgrade doesn't appear until you have the first upgrade. The third upgrade doesn't appear until you have the second upgrade.
